The Andotrans Team Torrentó has completed the third round of the Spanish Superbike Championship. This weekend, the team crossed borders to compete at the Estoril Circuit in Portugal. The assessment is positive after completing the two races, as both riders achieved good results: Harry Khouri has signed two fifth places and Sviat Pylypenko has achieved his best race result, with a 17th place.

The two riders in the Supersport Next Generation category started with a more discreet performance in free practice on Thursday and Friday, but after gathering information on the track, the entire team worked to take a step forward. In Saturday’s qualifying session, the Australian achieved the 14th best time and the Ukrainian finished as the 25th best rider.

The Saturday race was dominated by comebacks. Khouri gained up to nine positions. Khouri made another fast start and maintained podium pace throughout the laps. Pylypenko, meanwhile, certified his best race so far. Despite starting from the back, he improved eight positions to finish in the middle of the standings.

Sunday’s race had practically the same results. The only thing that was different was that Khouri started from the second row of the grid, lost a couple of positions on the first lap, but eventually recovered them to return to the top 5. Pylypenko followed the same pattern as in the first race: a constant pace from start to finish that helped him climb seven places.

The next round of the Spanish Superbike Championship will be at home. The Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya will host the competition on the weekend of July 27 and 28.

FERRAN TORRENTÓ
Team Manager

“We completed another good weekend of competition. With the results achieved, we can confirm that Harry Khouri is consolidating himself among the best drivers in the category and that Sviat Pylypenko continues to progress very well race after race. I am proud of the work of the entire team. We are going in the right direction and the reward is coming on the track. We will continue with the same motivation to keep improving and so that a reward can come in the form of a podium.”
